This remarkable event took place in Brgy. Daliao, Maasim, within the Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (SBPS), a critical area for marine conservation.

A Rare Encounter: Dugongs are critically endangered in the Philippines, and sightings are exceptionally rare. These gentle marine mammals, known as the “gardeners of the sea,” play a crucial role in maintaining the health of seagrass ecosystems, which are vital for marine biodiversity.
